The Little Thinkers Co. - Parent Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance

By proceeding with booking or payment for any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by The Little Thinkers Co. Terms and Conditions, as published on our website and provided upon request.

2. Payment

  • All bookings must be paid in full before your child’s first session unless an approved payment plan is in place.

  • Weekly or split payment options may be discussed for term-based programs (subject to approval). Please contact The Little Thinkers co. via email to arrange this.

  • Non-payment or overdue invoices may result in sessions being paused until the balance is settled.

3. Cancellations & Missed Sessions

By confirming your booking, you agree that your child is required to attend all sessions outlined for the term and that you are committing to attending each session, because sessions are carefully planned, resourced, and held for your child, the following applies:

3.1 Private Tutoring (1:1) and Group Programs (School Readiness, Learning Lab, Holiday Programs, Homework Club)

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for any cancellation.

  • One (1) makeup session per term is offered where notice is provided.

  • Makeups are subject to availability. We will make every effort to accommodate a suitable time and date, however we cannot guarantee the request will be fulfilled.

  • No-shows or cancellations made within 24 hours are forfeited.

3.2 Cancellations by The Little Thinkers Co.

If a session must be cancelled (e.g., illness or emergency), you will be offered:

  • A rescheduled session or

  • A credit for the session value.

4. Drop-Off & Collection

  • Children must be dropped off and collected the front door of the premises by a parent or authorised adult.

  • If someone else is collecting your child, you must notify us before the session ends (email or text accepted).

  • Late arrivals may reduce your child’s learning time.

5. Safety & Supervision

  • The safety and wellbeing of all children is our highest priority.

  • Parents agree to disclose any relevant medical, developmental, behavioural, or learning needs prior to enrolment so appropriate support and planning can occur.

  • The Little Thinkers Co. reserves the right to pause or discontinue sessions if a child’s needs exceed the scope of our service or present a safety risk.

6. Photography & Media

  • By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that The Little Thinkers co. may take photographs of your child during their sessions.

  • Photos used for marketing will never show your child’s face unless you have expressly approved this in writing.

  • Images may be used on our website, social media platforms, printed materials, or digital resources.

  • All photographs taken by The Little Thinkers Co. remain our intellectual property.

7. Behaviour Expectations

At The Little Thinkers co., we celebrate children’s individuality and emotions, while maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.

Unacceptable behaviours include but are not limited to:

  • Disobedience relating to safety instructions

  • Unsafe behaviour (running away, harming others, damaging resources)

  • Inappropriate touching or comments

  • Bullying of any kind

Parents agree to support The Little Thinkers Co. behaviour policy. If unsafe or disruptive behaviour continues, form you or your child, The Little Thinkers Co. reserves the right to discontinue sessions.

8. Property & Damage

  • The Little Thinkers Co. is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought by your child.

  • In the event your child intentionally damages resources, equipment, or property belonging to The Little Thinkers co., parents/guardians are fully responsible for covering the replacement or repair cost.

9. Health, Illness & Hygiene

  • Children who are unwell (fever, contagious illness, vomiting, diarrhoea, or other symptoms listed in WA Health guidelines) must not attend sessions.

  • If a child becomes unwell during a session, a parent or guardian must collect them immediately.

  • No refunds are provided for illness during a session; makeup sessions or credits are at the discretion of The Little Thinkers Co.

  • The Little Thinkers Co. maintains a clean, hygienic learning environment and follows appropriate cleaning and sanitisation procedures.

10. Parent Communication

  • Important updates will be sent via email or text. Parents are responsible for ensuring contact details are up to date.

  • Any concerns, feedback, or confidential information should be communicated directly via email to maintain professionalism and privacy.

  • To maintain a healthy work–life balance and ensure quality time with children during sessions, communication will be responded to within 48 hours on business days. Weekend messages will be replied to on Monday unless urgent.

11. Liability

  • While all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure safety, The Little Thinkers Co. is not liable for accidental injury or property damage that occurs during sessions, except in cases of proven negligence.

12. Program Structure & Educator Discretion

  • Our programs are designed by qualified early-childhood educators and follow a structured, play-based approach.

  • Sessions cannot be extended or altered on request. They are not babysitting or daycare services but purposefully planned educational experiences.

  • The Little Thinkers Co. reserves the right to adapt lessons, activities, or groupings based on children’s needs, behaviour, and educator judgement.

13. Changes to Terms

The Little Thinkers Co. may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
