The Learning Lab

COMING TERM 1 2026

Small Group Literacy and Numeracy Program (Kindy - Year 2)
Learning Lab sessions are drop-and-go small-group lessons of 4–6 children, designed to support school-aged learners through targeted literacy and numeracy instruction. Each 40-minute session is led by a qualified teacher, with children grouped according to age and learning stage to ensure appropriate challenge and support. Each session follows a consistent, child-friendly structure that balances explicit teaching with play-based and cooperative learning.

Literacy activities may include phonics and sound–letter work, guided reading, word building, spelling games, handwriting support and early writing tasks.

Numeracy learning is embedded through hands-on games and activities such as number sense development, counting and place value, simple addition and subtraction, patterning, measurement and problem-solving.

Sessions are interactive and engaging, using purposeful games and small-group discussion to build confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning, while still maintaining clear learning intentions and outcomes.

Session Cost:
Term 1
7th February - 28th March (8 weeks) - $360

Classes held in Karrinyup.

Please note: Learning Lab groups are formed based on age, learning stage and availability. Families register for placement rather than selecting a specific time. Session times are confirmed once groups are formed.
